Inequalities in the Spotlight:
Research Agendas to Address the Impact of COVID-19

The increase in inequalities brought about by the pandemic creates new needs for research.
Conscious that the project can never cover all the research needs linked to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and associated policies on inequalities, RESISTIRÉ identified knowledge gaps and developed a research agenda for future research in four domains: Care, Work & Pay, Human Rights and Health and Gender-based Violence.

To promote these future research needs to the academic world, we are organising a webinar that will introduce Research Funders and other stakeholders to the four distinct research agendas that have been produced in the first cycle of the project and will give stakeholders the opportunity to ask their questions to our team.

Sofia Strid, Senior Lecturer in Gender Studies at Örebro University and scientific coordinator of RESISTIRÉ will introduce the webinar. Project partners will then present the four research agendas:

  • Gender-based violence, presented by Ayşe Gül Altınay, Professor at Sabancı University (Turkey)
  • Care, presented by Roberto Cibin, Researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (Czech Republic)
  • Access to Health, presented by Federica Rossetti, Scientific Researcher at Sciensano (Belgium)
  • Work & Pay, presented by Anne Laure Humbert, Professor of Gender and Diversity at Oxford Brookes University (UK)
